Court TennisThe Tennis & Racquet Club features a court tennis court, the only one of its kind in the region. The game features handmade balls, slate walls, a court layout reminiscent of a palace courtyard, and requires the ability to hit off side, roof, and back surfaces. Jimmy Burke, the T&R Court Tennis professional for the past 20 plus years, has played and taught the
game for more than 35 years. Burke began the sport at age 13 while an employee of the Racquet Club of
Philadelphia. Five years later he became the No. 2 player in the world. Success catapulted Burke into
prestigious teaching positions at the Racquet & Tennis Club in New York. He has since earned a series
of titles in many tournaments across the U.S., including the U.S. Open singles and doubles titles and the
U.S. Professional Tournament.
